Welcome to new CSS department chairs beginning in Fall 2025. They are Seth Quintus in Anthropology, Monisha Das Gupta in Ethnic Studies and Dave Beilman in Geography and Environment. Also Kathy Ferguson is serving as interim department chair of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies.

Receiving promotions are Leah Bremer to Specialist in the Social Science Research Institute; Professor Ashok Das in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning; and Specialist Ulla Hasager, director of Civic Engagement.
