A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
Randizia Crisostomo, ‘Ihilani Lasconia, Sara Saastamoinen and Kammie Tavares – three PhD students in Political Science and one PhD student in Urban and Regional Planning, respectively – attended the Summer Institute on Global Indigeneities this summer at the University of Washington. The week-long intensive seminar, which focused on professionalization in Indigenous studies, is a collaboration among scholars from UH Mānoa and the Universities of Washington (Seattle), British Columbia (Vancouver), California (Los Angeles), Minnesota (Twin Cities), Oregon and Utah. The students were supported by the UH Foundation’s Social Sciences Fund.
MAKING THE GRADE
Congratulations to CSS students who made the Dean’s List in Spring 2024. They are recognized for their superior academic record, i.e., a minimum current grade point average of 3.5 for 12 or more credits of academic coursework.
