CSS aspires to be the destination of choice for students who look at science with an eye toward social change and responsibility. The College’s vision is to be the gathering place for those who want to break down barriers, touch lives and study in an innovative, transformative place among like-minded individuals. Guided by competent faculty, graduates will become tomorrow’s innovators and agents of change.
Mission Statement: Roadmap to the future
The College will achieve this vision by fostering a student-centered place marked by leadership, excellence and innovation. This environment is dedicated to providing a vibrant academic climate that affords exciting, intense interaction among students and faculty as they address fundamental questions about human behavior. CSS features outstanding scholarship through internships, active and service learning approaches to teaching, advocacy for Hawaiʻi’s people and ʻāina, and an established international focus, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. Students and graduates go on to become leaders in public and private enterprises throughout Hawaiʻi and Asia, and beyond.
