Geospatial Information Science certificate available
Did you know that the Department of Geography and Environment now offers an undergraduate certificate in Geospatial Information Science? The certificate offers a systematic set of courses that focus on the acquisition, processing, generation, visualization, analysis, management, and dissemination of geospatial data.
UHERO wins national award for website
The University of Hawaiʻi Economic Research Organization (UHERO) website has been nationally recognized for excellence by the Association for University Business and Economic Research (AUBER). This is the second time that UHERO has won the AUBER website award. In 2011, the additions of a new chart gallery, a blog with analysis of Hawaiʻi’s economy, and a forum on Facebook led to UHERO’s first recognition.
