Liberal democracy currently faces increasingly complex challenges both at home in North America and abroad. Social, ideological, economic, and racial divisions have heightened political and cultural polarization. Gaps are widening between people and power, and internal and external authoritarian movements directly challenge the nature of democratic societies.
This open town hall features panelists sharing their perspectives on these challenges from various sectors, including non-governmental & nonprofit, government, and higher education. The panel discussion will be followed by a moderated town hall-style event where public participation is encouraged.
