Aloha University of Hawai‘i friends and alumni.
The hardships we’re facing today make it important to celebrate moments of success wherever they are found.
They are found in our students, who rose above the challenges brought about by COVID-19 and continued their academic journey remotely this semester.
They are found in our staff, who support the University’s educational mission, and our faculty who are lending their research expertise to Hawaii’s leaders – from exploring ways to safely restore businesses and jobs to tracking social disparities and protecting the most vulnerable among us.
They are found in our alumni, who are helping to rebuild our local and global communities.
They are found in our newest alumni, the graduates of the Class of 2020, who are rising above today’s challenges with resilience, tenacity and hard work.
And they are found in you, our extended family.
We celebrate you all!
May you and your loved ones remain safe and well today and always.
