Aloha and mahalo to all as our Spring 2021 semester draws to a close. This is a truly special time of year, when we congratulate our graduates as they turn the tassels on their caps and venture forward. In celebration of their achievements, we will be presenting a video of our virtual Aloha Celebration for our College of Social Sciences graduates. Visit us on Twitter (@CSS_UHManoa) on Friday, May 14, for a link to the video.
In this CSS newsletter, we highlight some of our success stories in the School of Communications, Department of Psychology and the Public Administration Program. Learn why we’re proud of students like Shafkat Anowar, who is excelling in the study of photojournalism, and Nyle Sky Kauweloa, a graduate student instrumental in the expansion of teaching esports; faculty members like Jonas Vibell, who has the heady job of leading our Brain and Behavior Lab; and our hard-working staff, who keep operations humming even during a pandemic.
As we head into the summer, it’s certain that the College is not the same as it was a year ago. None of us are. CSS is stronger, more resolute and constantly developing programs and strategies to bolster the community and beyond. For this and more, we are truly grateful for your support.
