The following is a step-by-step guide to help students navigate the graduation process. Filing to graduate should be completed one to two semesters before graduation. Visit Academic Advising for additional assistance.
Document Submission
Students should securely submit academic documents to the Advising Team via our:
- Kuali Document Submission Form
Emails are not secure, and we strongly advise against emailing academic documents.
Note: As of Monday, March 17, 2025, Major/Minor/Cert Declarations are submitted via Kuali.
- Complete Application for Degree.
- Complete Graduation Plan.
- NOTE: The plan must include ALL courses and credits required for graduation.
- Complete a Kuali Minor Declaration form.
- Note: Courses used for a minor cannot be double-dipped with a major.
Schedule an appointment with an academic advisor to review graduation requirements.
Check academic progress on STAR and if needed, schedule an appointment with an academic advisor.
Pay diploma fee posted in MyUH.
Visit the UH Mānoa Commencement Office website for information related to commencement.
Students can receive a letter verifying graduation prior to the issuance of a diploma.
Option 1: Letter from an Advisor
- Complete a Kuali Request for Written Verification Form.
- Available letter types include Degree Completion, Graduation Eligibility, Graduation Approval, and Graduation Confirmation.
- Letters may be needed for graduate school, military commissioning, employment, JET, etc.
