Key Program Details

The Fully Online BA Degree Completion Program is entirely online, enabling you to earn your degree without the need to visit the UH Mānoa campus. Coursework is completed during the regular Fall and Spring 16-week semesters. Classes may be synchronous (in real time) or asynchronous (on your schedule).

The UH Mānoa graduation requirement is 45 upper division (300+) credits. If you don’t have any prior credits that can be counted towards this total, you may need to take elective courses to reach the 45-credit requirement. Additionally, there may be a need for extra credits to fulfill the overall UH Mānoa graduation credit requirement. Our advisors will assess your transcripts and help determine your specific needs.

Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) courses required to complete this degree include:

General Design courses will provide you with a general overview of the WGSS field.

  • WGSS 300+ (3 courses)
  • WGSS 400+ (3 courses)

Special Design courses offer a deeper exploration of specific aspects of the WGSS field, and you can fulfill these requirements by taking relevant non-WGSS courses.

Required courses are offered in various semesters, depending on instructor availability, and your advisor will assist in determining the optimal order to take these courses.
